100mbps full duplex

Tue Dec 02, 2008 1:59 pm

Hi,
I need 100mbps full duplex link

Should I use MIKROTIK RouterBOARD 433AH and 3X RouterBoard R52H cards (turbo mode )and bond them together. Would the router have enought procesor power?

Or Should I use MIKROTIK RouterBoard 600A and 4X RouterBoard R52H cards and use 2X dual nstream and bond both dual nstream together?

Best regards,
David

As far as I know bonding does not provide full duplex link. Dual Nstreme link gives you full duplex.

You will need 6 cards per side and no more than 2 cards per routerboard.

using a pair of 333 outfitted with xr5 cards we have a link that do either 95Mbs up or 95Mbs down.
It is a half duplex link but performs well over 16Miles.

The speed is measured using a rb to rb speedtest tcp speeds are more like 65Mbs in each direction when tested.
Keep in mind those are single direction tests as the links are half duplex.

okay. how then to use more than two cards without any bonding here.
several nstreme2- s with load balancing or so?

is it possible to use 3, not two interfaces in a p2p link?

@tgrand
how many xr5 cards do you use on each rb333?

-----------------------------------------------

At on of my setups I get 60mbps in one direction using one mini pci card
If I would use 3mini pci cards and bond them together wouldn't I get 180mbps data transfer? that can be used for 90mbps ful duplex link?
would RouterBOARD 433AH have enought processor power?
