yesterday i made a link with them for 10km distance. -56dbm signal strength :)

so I had to decarease the tx power to increase the CCQ a bit.

They are performing quite good till now.

Anyone using two of the cards with a dual polarized Antenna
for a backbone link?

Whenever possible, I now use the R5H instead of the XR5 because it costs less.
Setup a 32 km PtMP link earlier today, over 20 Mbps TCP with nstreme.

We only tested with 4 R52H card...
After that, we all bundle RouterOS with only R5H due to very very good performance...

Pls read http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... ns#p135945
Pls watch : http://www.tiktube.com/?video=196
The answer for your question is NO. The XR5 is no better than the R5H for long distance links. The R5H has better sensibility and cost less.

If the R5H work with RouterOS version 3.20 and Good quality antenna.
It will be the perfect match...

The sensitivty of these cards is fantastic!!!

We have changed out all the XR's to the R5H now and I am pleased to say that the results are well worth the effort!!!

It's not always about the costs - but the autonomy and performance as well.

Well done MT - great product.
