Basics explanation please

sorry for that basic questions

but i am new at wireless

but successfully installed RB and radio :) MIKROTIK IS AWESOME

NOW i need some explantion for this words if possible , i have read some about it already but MIKROTIK guys are the best

signal strength > that is clear
noise floor ???????
signal to noise ????????

what those expressions mean for us, what higher or lower values mean !!!
what is the benefit of this values .

search in the forum.. I think all is explained.

noise floor is the minimum quality you have to got in your link to have it working. Example: Link with -70 and noise floor of -100 makes your link work very good.

The diference between -70 and -100 is the signal to noise. A signal to noise of 30 is good. If you have 5 of signal to noise, you'll have problems with the link.
