This class device usually have indoor unit and outdoor RF unit. I think mPCI power resource is not enough to supply RF outdoor unit.

these are uvb (11,18,28GHz) devices. SAF Tehnika is Latvian company which developing uvb RF devices, such as Czech Alcoma.

Yes I know SEF and Alcoma... but why not can find miniPCI for this GHz or module that shift a 5 GHz miniPCi to 11 GHz or above?

But I see some devices that i suspect are Mikrotik based...

Ok, you say that miniPCI can't hold.. but why? :(

i think you is looking for the 11Ghz link to provide higher bandwidth.
Is the mikrotik routerboard ready for it?

This is the issue we should think about it.

This is an interesting question as I have some application for 28 GHz.

What throughput can one expect in this band?

wow this was worthless, the mt device you see from "manufacturers" is probably a transparent bridge with a mt strapped on the front of the Ethernet port.

The US 24GHz unlicensed band allows for a 56mhz channel. Using the 'standard' signaling used by 802.11 based radios, 112mbs FD should be achievable.

Most commercial units achieve 108mbps FD on a 30mhz channel and 311mbps on a 56mhz channel.
