Network MPLS+Frame

Tue Jan 19, 2010 6:00 pm

Hi folks! We have a situation here: the headquarter is connected to our other offices trough a MPLS and a Frame Relay, which contains the internet traffic, TEC credit card system, telnet access, and TS.
Today the traffic goes through the Frame, if the frame is not available, the user on the end point, must switch fiscally do MPLS, and the system administrator must change the route on the gateway. What we wanna do is put a Mikrotik at the end point, doing a balance between MPLS and Frame. Our goal is, if we lose one of these connections, all the traffic must go automatic trough the other one. Is it possible? How to do it?

OSPF would probably be the best plan of action. You can load balance between the Frame and MPLS link and failover should be fairly fast if you use BFD.
