Hi,

AFAIK, NV2 is a wireless protocol. If you are running some wireless card on mPCI slot like ath 5K/9K based then surely it will work. And yes u need ROS 5.0 onwards for NV2.

I've talked this for long time with some of the support guys.

Te fact is nv2 in x86 platforms (some vendors have their own hardware for AP devices running in x86 platforms) could work or not, but it is not guaranteed.

When trying to download ROS v5 for x86 the following note appears:
"Version 5.x x86 currently does not support Nv2 (requires RouterBOARD hardware). Nv2 for 5.x x86 may be supported in the future"

Regards

you could check how it works in the latest RouterOS versions, as our Nv2 wireless protocol has been improved. But note that we don't guarantee how well it perform on x86.
