authentication - mode = WPA2-PSK (aes ccm)

You should test this. It depends on interference, line of sight etc.

How about under best-case/"ideal" conditions? No fresnel incursion, noise floor -100, etc...

Got a SXT connecting at -82 db to a OmniTik that is 11km away.
No, do not know the throughput. 8) Client needed 3 Mbs. Not a problem.

Jip. Omnitik is in rural town and SXT is farm house next to town. Was suppose to be a grid dish, but dew to a mix-up, the technician installed the SXT. When we discovered the fault and wanted to fix it, the user was quite happy and preferred to keep it that way. If i have a look in the logs, there appears to sometimes be some signal lost, with immediate re connection. Did phone, but user is very happy with performance and did not notice any hick-ups.
Another one that might also be of interest, was a SXT installed in the same town, pointing at the AP that by chance, is in line with a 32 db dish on one of our high sites. Connected to dish at a distance of 22km. Took me a while to figure how the user had access but was not connected to the AP. :)

That is is very possible and should give a better link quality than connecting to your Omnitik which is closer, more the reason it connected to the tower
