WHY are the Sextants and Metal S5HPn's pre-configured!

Wed Aug 15, 2012 8:54 pm

I've been throwing these up for PtP links, and I'm noticing they have PRE-CONFIGURED

- DHCP Server
- DHCP Client
- NAT Firewall filter settings

WHY are these coming pre-configured!?!?! Anyone that's ever used Mikrotik does all the programming from scratch. Now I have to and "undo" every radio I get in, removing all the pre-configured settings. Is there anything else that is pre-configured I have to go find?

So I figured I'll just do a system-reset. NOPE! A system reset "should" erase all settings to default right? I resets everything back with DHCP Client, Server, Firewall filters...

When you first connect to these devices, all of the preconfigured stuff is shown to you, with two buttons "Keep" and "Remove"
