30MHz Basic issue on RB2011UAS ROS 6 RC1+

Tue Oct 16, 2012 6:11 pm

Hi, I met some issue about getting superchannel with extrawidth channel for our purposes.

Once I am specifiing channel list in on RB751G it works ok, once applying same list on new RB2011UAS with channel licence it says: ---in scan-list unsupported channel

Any chance to get it sorted out? I gonna really need my single radio 350Mbit ASAP working

I will answer my self, seems like there is no support at the moment for RB2011UAS and channel width except 5,10,20,40Mhz channels .. You can tune in superchannel range, but with only regular channel

What a pitty :(

Yesterday I try it on RB800 (lcLevel6) with R52Hn
when I try to add wireless channel width 25Mhz, 30Mhz, 60Mhz it show me that my license level doesn't allow it!?
hope in next relies... :?

Only AR92xx wireless chipsets support those custom channel options.

OK ... this is something very new to me.
Uldis you said:

I presume it came as a reply to Lakis's comment:

R52Hn is based upon AR9220 , or am I wrong: http://routerboard.com/R52Hn
So, what is the problem? What do we have to do to get 30 MHz channels enabled? There is no point in keeping it in mystery.
In other topic (http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=66437) on this forum you said:
you need to have superchannel license to use those custom channels - please write to support@mikrotik.com.
I thought that superchannel thing was settled and granted with the default licences after ROS 4.17 (or something). So, where is this coming from?

If a 30 Mhz channels support is still in a test phase, ... Well, what would be the better way to test it than to release it for the testing. Also, a change logs should be having a note on this being introduced. Don't you think so? Yet, there's nothing there ...

denis, yes you are correct about this:
I thought that superchannel thing was settled and granted with the default licences after ROS 4.17 (or something). So, where is this coming from?
But for this new Advanced Wireless Channels feature it is required to have superchannel license as it is not any more standard channel width and center frequencies. It is required so you will follow all the wireless regulations in your country by using this this new feature.
And that superchannel license is free, you just need to write to us to support@mikrotik.com fill the form, send it back and we will allow your account to upgrade your key to superchannel feature for free.

Yes, R52Hn is AR92xx and supports this new Wireless Advanced feature.

This feature was not added to the changelog as it is still in testing phase.
More info on that feature can be found here:

To further clarify this: In earlier versions, special license was needed for non-standard frequencies. Not since v4.17. Now this license is only needed for custom channels. This license is free of charge, and only your signature is asked (once).

So how do we sign out signature. Do we have to email support?

Hi Normis, I explain to me how I have to apply for a license for custom Channel width and Frequency?
I want to do some tests on a PtMP (BSU)

Regards,
Tony.
