Ethernetloop when using WDS?

Thu Oct 25, 2012 9:58 am

I'm seeing a weird issue of which I'm not sure whether it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. Here's the situation.

There's this bungalowpark where I enabled wifi using a RB750 and some RB751U-2nHd. Two of the three 751's are connected via Powerline, on is connected via WDS.

I'm seeing traffic that looks like there's a loop, sometimes. But I can't really figure out why there would be a loop. The via WDS connected AP only has that connection, but maybe I'm doing something wrong with WDS or the bridging.

So here's the idea of the config.

AP1 is connected to powerline using ether1
AP1 offers wifi
AP1 has a bridge with wlan0 and ether1 in it

AP2 has a WDS link with AP1
AP2 offers wifi as well
AP2 has a bridge on which the wlan0 and wds1 connect

That's it, actually. I'm using static wds and AP2 is configured as AP. There is no authentication whatsoever, the 750 runs in hotspot mode.

If anyone has some clues, please share them :)
