Sturdy brackets for SEXTANT

Mon Dec 10, 2012 1:00 pm

Anybody has them? We've deployed a bunch of SEXTANTS with the RF Elements brackets, and have had a 50% failure rate on them...

Anybody know of anything more reliable? We need elevation adjustment.

<RANT>The RIC/522 units were so much more sturdy and flexible than the plasticy crap that MikroTik is using for their outdoor units nowadays</RANT>

You can't directly compare them, the RIC kit cost 299$

I wouldn't mind paying $299 (and more) if it means getting solid hardware, reliable software with ROS functionality.

So far it's always been a case of 'pick two'.

It's actually a 'UbiBracket', as shown on another post in the forum, not the RF Elements one

We're swapping them out for satellite dish mounts...
