What is exactly the meaning of the "Last Measrued" time in the registration table data of connected client for each of its connection rates?

This info is found under the tab "Signal" (winbox) after clicking on the registered client in the wireless registration table.

Most of the timers are regularly updated, so stay in seconds, where sometimes I see some of the timer run up to a day or so. But according the signal strength reading even these rates have good signal so are connected..

I can't find no info on this in the manual...

Signal strength doesn't get measured all the time as it waists "radio time" , so if you have a stable link, you will find that only the active wireless speed gets updated often, so its an indication of when last that speed was tested, its just so that when you align that you don't look at outdated information in a sense.

@cyberT: So, if I see (and that is sort of common on all my PtP and PtmP networks) regular update times in the region of seconds only it would mean that lots of my radio time is wasted? So a poor performing network?
Strange that my highest signal strengths rate (6Mbps/-51dBm, 54Mbps/-57dBm) are regularly updated where some weaker (HT20-0/-52dBm and HT20-1/-53dBm) are having a "Last Measured" timer of over 8 hours!?!
So I am still a bit confused on how this works.

Should I use these times as a guideline on which rates are most stable and set these only in the 'configured' rate setting?
Off course on PtmP this is hardly possible because all rates are continuously updated...

It's a pity MT is still not giving sufficient info on these kind of settings...

as far as i understand, To test a certain speed, you need to change the timing frame (poll time) aka listen and send time of the radio, bearing in mind the radio does this a lot, aka tx cycle, rx cycle, and it constantly inverts its mode from listening to sending, whatever time u can save you can save, and the less you have the radio do the more time is available for data, if that makes sence, the actual impact of this i dont know, same thing with radio speed changes and so forth, all have an impact on ms or throughput.

hmm, now we have to make sure we don't mix 'speed' with 'connection rate'. Although one has an impact on the other, its not the same....

It would still be nice if MT or anybody else could supply me with more detailed info on how the connection rate setting versus tdma settings relate to the "last measured" rate in the registration table.

MT ROS has a nice set of tools to work with to fine tune a link.
But many of its options are not very well documented by them. Off course, a real technician in the field would have no problem in how to 'read' all the different parameters well and most info can be distilled on the internet.
But wouldn't it be nice if MT would give a sort of "radio link tuning for dummies" with some 'rules of thumb' or ' best practices'.

The register table reading I refer to in my topic is not even mentioned in the manual....
