rip not functionion right

Sun Feb 26, 2006 9:27 am

My RIP tables seem to be updating but i am having some problems. I read the manual and it says that under "IP ROUTES" that the routes should show up with a distance of 120 but under mine the routes are there but for distance it says nothing, I was wondering if this is part of why I am having some problems.

I thinkg that there's no problems with this functions. It really don't show the routes with distance of 120 , however if you have routes with distance greater that 120 the RIP ones take precedence.

Well here is what is going on, I have this router in place all it is doing is routing, it is not functioning as a wireless device at all. The routes are all showing up as they should, internet traffic is going fine but i can get traffic to flow backwards, example, i can't log into my AP or BACKHAULS, from the INTERNET/NOC side. This is not at my NOC this router is in the middle of my network at one of my towers. Now further down on my network i can access it just not from the WAN side, funny thing is i thought it was a gateway setting problem but all gateways are pointed towards the INTERNET.

Here I made a topo map and here is my routing tables off of this router that is causing me problems, In the drawings I can not ping from DSGE, BTT, or NOC towers to anything from the CST tower or farther back, but in the CST tower and back i can ping everywhere on my network. And the internet works fine. Also a tracert from the NOC returns this.
