HotSpot [RESOLVED]

Thu Apr 25, 2013 10:41 pm

Hello Guys I'm new here it's my first MikroTik that I was configuring !!!

I need help with HotSpot Configuration... I configured my HotSpot with some youtube videos but doesn't works !!!

I have configured:

ether1 as WAN;
ether2 as LAN;

Assigned DHCP Client on WAN;
Assigned Fixed IP on LAN (10.10.0.1/24);

Assigned DNS as 8.8.8.8;

And I use HotSpot Setup bottom;
HotSpot Interface LAN;
Local Address of Network: 10.10.0.1/24
Address Pool of Network: 10.10.0.10-10.10.0.254
Certificate: none
SMTP Server: 0.0.0.0
DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
DNS Name: my.mikrotik.server

HotSpot Server Profile:
Login:
HTTP Chap and Cookies;

When I do a ping test with http://www.google.com.br on terminal the test was successful !!! But when I connect to the HotSpot network i get the right ip address of the pool, however, I open the browser and try http://www.google.com.br I get 404 - Page not found... And doesn't go to login portal.

Any idea about what I made wrong ?

Sounds like the hotspot files havent been installed.

Check Files (/files from CLI) and make sure there's a hotspot directory, with lots of files in it.

You were right TheWiFiGuy... Was missing a lot of files... I installed in a machine and I saw that had a lot of files different... Now I have a trouble with the login... When I try to access for the first time www.google.com, MikroTik complete the address with https: such as https://www.google.com and in my configuration I'm not allowing HTTPS login.

Do you have any idea of how can I solve this ?

Thank you very much !!!

Nothing you can do there, thats expected behaviour.

Educate clients to browse to some other domain to bring up the browser.
