How would you configure 3 antennas for high density tower?

High Density Tower Config

Sun Jun 09, 2013 7:03 pm

I'm looking at a tower with 6 sectors at 10Mhz each (3v/3h). Here's some stats on one of those sectors, the others look similar. There is a total of about 170 subscribers right now.

802.11g - 4.5/9/18/24/27 (10mhz rates)
30 Clients (3@18, 5@24, 22@27)
18.9Mbit/s interface potential (based on association & coding rates)
68.5Mbit/s demand potential based on client-side queues (tx/rx =38.8/29.8)

This AP is oversold by a 3.6:1 ratio, but performs very well.

We would like to increase the total capacity of this site by deploying 5Ghz sectors. However, in order to do this, we would have to consolidate our 6-sector system down to 3 sectors to make room. The new antennas will be dual-polarity and they will be shielded.

The only question remaining, is to come up with a radio configuration that will provide the highest density possible without sacrificing performance. How would you do it?

FWIW, here's a diagram showing how I think I'd deploy 6 independent radios @ 20Mhz:

you should look for the better shield or wave absorber foam to eliminate local interference...

Maybe this will help dual Mimo in a single antenna ( V+H, V+H) one for 2.4 and second for 5.8GHz ?

I am awaiting on update on dual 5.8 + 5.8 Mimo in one antenna for them?

You looking on sector?
If yes, we using dual polarity x 2 now...
