sextant with RB912UAG-5HPnD

hi every one ...i have sextant with rb 711....if i replace it with RB912UAG-5HPnD ..anyone tell me if this step is fine?

Yes you can.
But rb912 have L4 and is expensive. Do you need L4? If not, and miniPCIex is not required then is enough rb911

RB911G-5HPnD is mounted there in standard. Generally you can change boards inside until you don't break soldered pigtail and as long as the board dimensions are not bigger than RB911. In general SEXTANT isn't made for changing boards frequently, the plastic claps make them cheap, good looking, but not resistant for frequent mount and unmount.

If you are going to make own solution, then I recommend my antenna http://www.wireless-instruments.com/en/ ... -20hv.html. You can use it as a substitute to SEXTANT and you are able to install there everything (installation compartment is 25 x 25 x 5 cm).

is the plastic cover of the sextant is bad ????!!!!!...i think it is strong enough to open it ... :( :(
