MAC Authentication on Wireless (No Hotspot)

Mon Sep 02, 2013 2:56 pm

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to remember my training, but I just can't get this working.

How can I make use of MAC Authentication, or at least have multiple security profiles for each client MAC?

Scenario:

I have a AP with WPA2 and all the clients are connecting with no issues, but now I want to connect a WiFi-enabled printer, this printer battles with any form of encryption, so I want to have it connect to the AP without making use of a encryption standard. i.e Open BSSID

I tried the Access List, but It wasn't working.

Example of the Access List (Unmodified):

If I enter the client's MAC address in the Access List and untick authentication, should the client connect without any encryption, etc? Or was it that if there is no private key, then the client will connect without issues?
