Mikrotik has never supported Intel Wifi chips.
I have this Intel card. It is not much faster than my current NV2 link, but that could be because of the bad drivers.
Mikrotik NV2 connection: 200 mbit/s TCP
Intel 802.11ac to Dlink DIR-868L: 250 mbit/s TCP

Of course this not a scientifically correct test :-)

According to some other posts around here the MT is writing their own wireless drivers and are not using stock ones found in Linux kernels. Basically a select set of Atheros chips is all they support, but they even do not reveal what actual chips they do support.

From the image posted above you can see the text "indoor use only" and that their frequency range is only 5.15GHz to 5.35GHz. It's probably not as high power as some of the [non-AC] MikroTik cards either.

You can install DD-WRT on an Asus RT-AC66U and maybe use that as a 'dumb' point-to-point link but it has 3x3 MIMO so what would you do with the 3rd antenna? There doesn't seem to be many 3x3 MIMO antennae out there right now. A dish with 60 degree separation between channels would be a start. I guess it'd have to be a dish with narrow beamwidth because you'd use up so many of the available channels that there's not really room for other users.

Definitely keen to see a mini-PCIe MikroTik 802.11ac card ASAP.
