Two wlan interfaces and WDS

Fri Apr 21, 2006 12:26 pm

Hi!

Is it possible to have two wlan interfaces with WDS to do two point to point links that bridge 3 ethernet segments?
ether1 -- router1 <-- PtP1 --> router2 <-- PtP2 --> router3 -- ether3
                                 |_ ether2
So, 3 routers, 2 PtP WDS links to have 3 ethernets bridged.

I just put the 3 interfaces of router2 in the same bridge and I configure WDS for the 2 wlan interfaces to have the same default bridge? Is that right?

Thanks!

on router1 and router3:

wlan to router2 mode = station-wds

on router2:

wlan mode = ap-bridge
wds-default-bridge = bridge-1
wds-mode = static

2 wds interfaces for router1 and router3

bridge wlan and both wds interfaces together

That's it!
