but till now none of this is so rock solid as DUAL NSTREME..also in noisy enviroment....dual nstreme is like one existent but abandoned technology on favour to 802.11n, MIMO and nv2
Remember: on some country (all receiving CEPT regulamentation) is forbidden use 80MHz modulation [exactly more than 20+20], or better is forbidden at all use 5GHz for PTPIt will be awesome if Mikrotik can repair dual-nstrem. Imagine dual-nstreme link with two 802.11ac separate links and FDX throughput more than 600Mbps full-duplex!!!
Please MT-Team think about it!!!
what device/freq/modes are you using for PTP ?..forbidden at all use 5GHz for PTP
strictly ptp 17Ghz, ptmp 5GHzwhat device/freq/modes are you using for PTP ?..forbidden at all use 5GHz for PTP
..POE 48V 802.3 af .. ?!!!!? ..what the hell??How use Mikrotik on 17GHZ?.... eheheheh.......

Good to know, my MT trainer told me to stay away from up/down converters , so I must change my mindon that model are present one up/down converter from 5GHz to 17GHz...
At the start I'm sceptic on that, but works...
Do not expect verly long range link...Good to know, my MT trainer told me to stay away from up/down converters , so I must change my mind
There are 17/24GHz Radios which do fdd and dont need conversion. More expensive but reliable <1ms. Modulations up to 1024QAM.Do not expect verly long range link...Good to know, my MT trainer told me to stay away from up/down converters , so I must change my mind
I suggest max 16Km, on 23,5 Km I'm forced to use pure 5GHz... ehm...
For long distance link you need 2mt dish, with pure 17GHz device...
I also have one LigoWave Unity 5 PTP (ok, is another brand, but against mikrotik is one un-competitor...) but is used on parallel of the previous described link of 23,5Km as backup.
Same J&L 30dBi H/V dish, but RB411AH + SR71-15 (6.15 wireless-fp tdma auto on NV2, 20 Ce) have better and stable performance. I force it to stay linked at max to 180Mbps/radio and the only limit are the 100M ethernet... (latency average 4ms, min 2ms, max 6ms on 70Mbps to clients / 30Mbps from clients during real data passing on the link)
Missing on that devices RouterOS... I have one 2m dish 17GHz bridge, but I never used it...There are 17/24GHz Radios which do fdd and dont need conversion. More expensive but reliable <1ms. You have to connect ROS-Devices on both ends then you have the combination of ROS features and Radiofeatures. You cant do everything with one platform. High speed low latency backhaul is where you run into limitations with wifi solutions. You can tune cheap wifi-Radios to an extent but there are limits. This conversion stuff is quite experimental. You might run into 5GHz selfinterference with your 17GHz link.Missing on that devices RouterOS... I have one 2m dish 17GHz bridge, but I never used it...

?
If you compare unity, it costs about 1,500 Eur....is that able to get 100Mbit/s traffic in crowded enviroment?
There is no such option like Auto for TDMA6.15 wireless-fp tdma auto on NV2, 20 Ce
