WDS is pretty much a hack and not a standard. There is no guaranteed compatability between vendors. Although, Mikrotik WDS tends to work with alot of vendors.

D-Link using Atheros AP-39 reference design for 2100, and Atheros firmware... same hardware&firmware use alot of vendors.. I think the problem is in the basic rates..

Just a thought, you are aware that dynamic-wds does not necessarily work with non routeros equipment. static-wds should work though.

connecting but not pinging...could you be more specific-

if u mean not pinging something non wds side maybe you need to bridge the wds and LAN on the wds master.

i forgot to do this and could not hit my router.

If you find the answer how to connect D-Link 2100AP to mikrotik by wds i will pay $50!!!
The problem is in WDS protocol, not in bridging!

Just like I said, we need full description of the problem. You can't get any solutuions just by saying `it doesn't work`. we don't have this device and we can't test it. so you must provide us your configuration, your device configuration, output of mikrotik logs etc.
