Fri Jun 02, 2006 10:57 am

i got a client, here is his problem.. every morning his board is shutted down, traffic not going through.

the board is quite a drive away for him to go and reboot the board so he access the board through winbox and tries to reboot, but its not rebooting???

he is using a routerboard 532 with nmp8602 mini-pci's on the board.

any ideas or views what is causing this problem?

normally he goes to the board itself (which is quite a drive) and reboots the board (unplug and plug back in again).. but he wants to reboot using winbox but its not working.

have you installed the routerboard.npk package? did you check the log file?
i guess he should first solve the problem, not find a way to reboot it every day. why does it stop passing traffic? is it the latest version of RouterOS? Again, what does the LOG say?

Do you enable hardware or ping watchdog?

P.S I am sad that you are not rooting, rooting is good :)
