I've got two providers - one on a fibre leased line, and the other on a VDSL2 circuit with traffic limits. I can announce my IP using BGP range via either or both. Problem is the VDSL2 is really expensive for bandwidth. So normally I want all traffic via the leased line.

On the few peak occasions, I want to change my announcement on the expensive route to allow some traffic to find its way via the expensive link to cope with demand, but when traffic drops to shut off the announcement via the expensive route.

Anyone done this? Any caveats or issues to be aware of?
