ethernet issue

Fri Jun 09, 2006 2:15 pm

Hello everybody.

My question is how I set long-cable= yes in winbox:

long-cable (yes | no; default: no) - changes the cable length setting (only applicable to NS DP83815/6 cards). For cable lengths of more than 50m, set "long-cable=yes"

Please need help.

You have to open a terminal window and type in the command from the command line:
[admin@mt] interface ethernet> set 2 cable-settings=?
Ethernet cable type

CableSettings ::= default | standard | short

[admin@mt] interface ethernet> set 2 cable-settings=
Note, that from a command line, you can use the "?" to find available commands and settings for a particular device or section. If you play around with it a little you'll realize it's really not that bad.
