CAPSMAN Interface Naming

Thu Oct 09, 2014 9:52 am

We are now using CapsMan for many sites but one thing appears to be missing - hopefully we have not missed it ?

Is it possible to incorporate the "/system identity" as a prefix when the interfaces are auto-provisioned ?

You can certainly specify a manual "Name Prefix" but I've not seen the ability to add the routers actual identity other than manually going through and matching mac addresses to system identity.

A script could do it but it would be a nice if it we a standard option ? Any input welcome :-)

an option to auto add a comment to the interface with the remote Identity name would be a nice way of handling it.

Complete web based ISP in-a-box solution, designed specifically for Multi-Tenant properties, works great for WISPs too.

BrianHiggins, this will not be needed as you will be able to specify an option to use system identity in the configuration when creating a interface name.
