Any ideas?

Let's say we have this:
MAIN-AP (MT, atheros as ap-bridge 802.11b)
SECOND-AP (MT, card1: atheros as client, card2: prism as ap-bridge, 2 antennas )

Is it possible to connect second-ap to Main-ap without wds?
Is it possible to connect second-ap to non-MT devices (ovislink 1120 as ap)?

Only WDS will allow 2 APs to connect to each other.

Seems like I remember something in the standards about an AP not alowing a bridged client to pass data. On AP number 2 - how are the two interfaces connected?

Sorry, I thought you were asking if you could connect 2 APs together (in ap mode) without WDS. Yeah, if one is a client, you can if you are routing or running NAT, otherwise, NO (no transparent bridge to ethernet in station mode).

Perhaps there should be a counter to count how many times this is asked each week

i connect to my second device via winbox, set wi-fi card to work in client mode and connect it to main_ap.
wi-fi card ip address is in same range as main_ap.
when i ping (form winbox) all i get is just a flatline. ????
signal is 50-60. standard b.
