need a little help with nstreme-dual

Mon Jun 19, 2006 9:42 pm

I have attempted to set up nstreme-dual according to the docs I found on the subject. The radios are not connectiong, so, obvioulsy, I am missing something and could use some advice.

Here is what I have done so far.

I am using RB532 boards with two cm9 cards each.

Enabled all interfaces
Made sure WDS is disabled
Enabled nstream, and polling on all cards
Set mode to nstream dual slave on all cards
set antennas to "antena a", and when things didn't work, set them to "tx-a/rx-b". (which I do not believe should be, but tried it anyway)
Set the ssid the same on wlan A of each radio, and set a second ssid on wlan B of both radios.
Didn't work, so I changed the ssid to the same on all 4 radios, but still not working.

I am sure it is a simple thing I am missing, but not sure where to look.

Did you create the nstreme dual interface then assign the radios to tx and rx? Also assign the remote mac which will be the mac address listed on the general tab of the nstreme dual interface. ssid doesnt matter in nstreme dual mode.
