Network Bandwidth Monitoring is a basic movement for each system engineer. By understanding who, what, and how data transfer capacity is being utilized, you can maintain a strategic distance from bottlenecks, convey better nature of administration and decrease costs all while ceaselessly conveying business basic applications and administrations.
So what do you recommend sir ?

We use Nagius and Observium for traffic monitoring, works like a treat with all devices in our network. Yes it isn't exactly plug-n-play but it looks the part ;)

Is this installable on windows ?
And is it real time live one or just a static stats ?

Paessler PRTG works on windows and it's pretty user friendly.
Not free though.

It's free for 100 Sensors (not devices) so you can test it. Pricelist is here https://www.paessler.com/prtg/price_list
Yes i use it and it's awesome. I used cacti and zabbix too. Both are good but not easy as PRTG. Learning curve is less harsh on PRTG than other network monitor tools. They have nice phone apps and widgets too.

I really recommend a look at NetXMS. Its completely free (and open source) works great with MikroTik.

We use it as a centralized Monitoring, Management and Alerting platform.
We run all our analytics on it, use it for inventory management, IP space management, etc.

Its got a bit of a learning curve, but its a great software.

NetXMS is linux based, there's not windows installation available. But still a good choice!
On PRTG you can have one sensor per device or multiple sensors for each device (one sensor for one interface throughput, one for latency to the device, etc...)
Edit: scrolling down there is windows installer... for NetXMS. Sorry about that.

Hi Soamz,

You can run this quite quick on a virtual machine (vmware player with virtual appliances), not plug n play by any means.

You can get historical and real time data on all subscribers and devices.

It's the industry standard, the big boys run nagios as well, we also have experience with PRTG but the fact that it only runs on windows is a big drawback.
