Feature request - Sending Reports

Thu May 25, 2017 11:14 am

Dear Mikrotik team,

Please review a possibility to prepare and send report from dude about object on the map.

This may be useful when we send alarm only during working hours. As a result some host may goes down out of this hours and we will not know about this until we saw them on the map next day.

Simple reports can help us in such cases:
[NetMap.Name]
[NetMap.DevicesCount] / [NetMap.DevicesPartiallyDownCount] / [NetMap.DevicesDownCount]
Sample:
Shops
30 / 0 / 2
We also should be able to include the following variables:
[NetMap.DevicesCount]
[NetMap.DevicesUpCount]
[NetMap.DevicesDownCount]
[NetMap.DevicesAskedCount]
[NetMap.DevicesPartiallyDownCount]
[NetMap.DevicesUnknownCount]
[NetMap.DevicesDownList]
[NetMap.DevicesUpList]
[NetMap.DevicesAskedList]
[NetMap.DevicesPartiallyDownList]
[NetMap.DevicesUnknownList]

Advanced report should permit us get more information like:
[NetMap.Name]
[NetMap.DevicesCount] / [NetMap.DevicesPartiallyDownCount] / [NetMap.DevicesDownCount]
[Devices.DownName] - [Probe.DownName] - [Service.TimeLastDown] - [ServiceDown.TimeSinceChanged]
Sample:
Shops
30 / 0 / 2
Shop 1 - ping down - 2017/05/24-23:00:00 - 08:20:00
Shop 2 - web down - 2017/05/25-03:00:00 - 04:20:00
We should be able to sent such reports using any type of notifications, like Email or SMS using fetch.

Also, an option to send Map screenshot can be useful.

Thank you!

Maybe adding a "Network Map" in Dude CLI might help at the start?

But something like this:
[NetMap.DevicesCount]
[NetMap.DevicesPartiallyDownCount]
[NetMap.DevicesDownCount]

[NetMap.DevicesDownList]
[NetMap.DevicesUpList]
[NetMap.DevicesAskedList]
[NetMap.DevicesPartiallyDownList]
[NetMap.DevicesUnknownList]
at least should be added.

Thank you!

Network Map --> Outages shown also devices which is in a Asked state too. In such case it seems that this is not very useful to get Up/Dow devices list.

Thank you!

I cannot find any documentation on output of printed reports
OR a csv export of "Services/Outages" that would allow own analysis

Also
Could Services have a running "network downtime %" added - ( the key measure of network stability ) ?

Thanks

Definitly joining the club, ... would be a nice thing for networks where you can only send status mails out or only dial-in access is avail !
Tried to build a script which fetches the netmap-status via https from it's own webfig and sends out a mail ... failed ... seems this is for grown up's.
In addition ... it's like wiping your own booty, than making a polaroid of the result and sending the polaroid to the doctor for further investigations (pardon my french).
When I look into the CLI it seems the nuts are there ... only lack of the bolts (it's in webfig ... it's in the dude-exe ... so it has to be in the system)

For connected networks I customized webfig to show only the relevant dude menues and then sending a scheduled mail with local machine-status plus the link to my customized webfig.
Since these networks a reachable it's a viable workaround, but in unaccessible networks or even networks where access is only allowed over secured gateways under "parental guidance" ... nope.

I guess the priorities are elsewhere in the moment ( I know ... don't mention the v7-word !).
