Proxy / Remote Collector for Dude

Mon Sep 11, 2017 5:06 am

Hi,

Is there a way to install a remote collector or proxy to get the data from far devices.

We get a lot of false positive in our infrastructure. This way it could facilitate and turn more reliable the monitoring process.

Any ROS device can be a dude collector. For example i have one dude server in main office, it collects data from this office and from two remote sites (they have 3011 as GW, for devices in remote sites "agent" is their GW).
Explain in details what do you need.

Thank you!

The idea is like this diagram:

This way, even if the clouds suffer instability, dude server will not send false positive alerts.

If there is instability/error in connection between server and collector there will be unstable/error message in dude server.
Information about remote devices collects remote dude collector (agent), but dude server process information and send messages (on remote sites you even don't need to have dude package, just ROS device). So if you will loose connection between main office and remote sites you will get alerts about all remote devices are offline
