Dude server-Linux standalone server?

Thu Oct 12, 2017 11:35 pm

I was wondering, is there anyway to run the Dude on a Linux (centos 6.9 server), as a "standalone" server program? I understand that you have to have RouterOS x86 to run it, but my concern is that we are using the server for other programs and services, and I don't want to run RouterOS on it, and have it possibly interfere with those other functions. Not a problem if we need to get a license to run it! Suggestions/comments !

You can run a CHR ROS image in a virtual machine. It supports the Dude server and will not interfere (unless configured to do so  ).

wtm,

We run Dude using CHR. ROS is not touched and don't used, just for user management.

Thank you!
