I'm having a problem where The Dude does not allow my connection as directly after install. I tried using putty, winbox's telnet and The Dude client software. All of them deny my connection. I saw a sollution where you have to change the 'full' permission group to include 'dude' but I do not get this option in the winbox client. I have tried using 2 The Dude versions (6.40.5 and 6.41rc61).

You may try to follow guide from the Wiki: The_Dude_v6/First_use

Be sure that account which is used for login have at least dude and read permissions as described in the WIki: The_Dude_v6/Admins

what version of dude do you use and what version of client? what kind of error message do you have?

Dude v6 is a ROS package which should be installed into ROS: Manual:The_Dude_v6/Installation.
Did you install Dude on your ROS?
