XML Objects Map

Mon Dec 18, 2017 3:38 pm

Hello, I'm happy using dude 6.40 in a RB750gr3 boards, but we loss a very usefull feaure found in old 3.x version:
We have implemented dude as our network monitor and network elements database, before 6.40 we used the export feature to save an XML file containing all the information needed from our routers, aps, switches, etc (models, username, IPs, MACs, etc). This XML information was used by many proccesses to make backups, system checks and many core and vital functions in our operation.
With 6.40 we can't get an XML file of the map!, all our systems can't continue working without this information, we can't make backups of our devices, we lost our network inventory information, etc, etc...
Any idea on how we can get XML information of elements in the dude map ?
Regards,
RDA.-

Hi, starting with version 6х of the dude, the operation of export and import is only possible via the command line terminal in Winbox.

Export database servers The Dude:
1. first stop the server: /dude set enabled=no
2. run the command: /dude export-db backup-file=(the_path_to_the_new_database_file)
3. first start the server: /dude set enabled=yes

Import server database:
run the command: /dude import-db backup-file=(the_path_to_database_file)
