Learning the dude

Fri Jun 01, 2018 11:44 am

Hello
I have some questions about the dude
1. Is there any way for working on the dude (for learning) in a simulated environment instead of real routers?
2. Is it possible to config automatic backup of routers in the dude?

Yes. You can run CHR virtually for that.

Thanks. You mean that i can use chr in vms and have some virtual router connected to each other. After that i should install dude on the main v router and do configuration on routers. Yes?
My second question was that is it possible to configure some routers using the dude instead of configuring each router separately eg making automatic backup or running a script?

Yes.
Not exactly. You can export config in human editable format from one router and import it into another router.
Or use this.
