going from 3.6 to more current... server files?

Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:03 pm

We have been using 3.6, yes ancient, and are installing a new windows server 2016 for a couple things like email alerts and monitoring. I was trying to put 6.43 on it...
However it doesn't have the server files with it. In looking it seems there is only the router code you have to use. Is there a download for the windows server portion?
Thanks.

After Version 4 beta 3 Mikrotik stopped developing The Dude server for Windows OS. They only provide the server package for Mikrotik Router OS. Though The Dude client is still supported on Windows OS. I was investigating changing from our 4b3 installation on Win Server 2012 to the latest Router OS version, but we have a heavy reliance on Execute on Server probes and notifications, so we can't move away from the Windows OS version. Depends on how much reliance you have on the Windows OS, you may be in a better position to advance. I tried the latest Dude on CHR in a Virtualbox environment on my laptop and all worked pretty well.
