Dude tools and functions

Wed Oct 02, 2019 3:54 am

Hi,
I have generated a legitimate web address using Dude functions.
I would like to use that function (eg fDeviceURL ) to make a new tool that will take users to that designated web page.
The function works well and generates a legitimate web address.
The URL works well when manually entered as a tool.
Problem is that I can't get the syntax correct for the function to work in place of of the manually entered web address.
Can anyone help with the correct syntax?
Geoff

The page is a dynamic asset register.

Hi,
My school uses GSuite. GSuite generates a number of details about each device used in that GSuite domain together with a number of tools.
Note: Many of these details cannot be pulled from SNMP.
At present to access those GSuite details and tools from Dude requires the admin to log onto GSuite as a separate process.
Admin quickly learnt to store the GSuite devices unique ID in a custom field in Dude ... then cut and pasted that ID string to the necessary GSuite URL thus reducing the time needed to access those GSuite details from Dude.
I have made that manual process into a Dude function so that I now have a function that replicates the necessary GSuite URL.
Problem is I cant get that function output to work as Dude tool?

I hope this all makes sense.?
