We do support bugfixes
Yes, you do. But you can't afford major changes, like going to external web service(which wanted but one part of dude users, and totally uninterested to other part), with customized/expendable interface by AJAX,
or more advanced scripting(with debuging),
or create plugin API,
or using external SQL DB, or external Round-Robin DataBase(Dude will collect data to it, and other tools will display data from it),
or merging-in some useful utilities like putty ssh client, or sftp/ftp graphical client
or customizer of tabs in Device properties
or create custom attributes(more than three)
or work with groups of devices, by running some tool on several selected devices.
or rewrite Probe Mechanism, to avoid fake spikes(positive and negative) on graphs,
or create permissions scheme, to grant permissions only on specific maps to specific users.
or create debug mechanism for Server/Agent communications
or linux/wine tight compatibility
or custom bulk creation/modifications
Some things may be worked around, some may not.
too few engineers can be dedicated to Dude software in your company, because that's not your major part of business.
Alternatively open source community will bring much higher technical level of discussion on your forums, than "how i can create graph?".
if you afraid to lose some of you technology, part of which is coded in dude, you can cut those parts off.
Anyway, opening source will be highly appreciated.
