Dude 3.1 stops pinging just like the previous versions.

No Firewall
XP SP2
Command line ping works fine

Stopping Dude and restarting it or changing RUN MODE to something different gets things working again for a random time.

Any known fix?

I also found that if I right click on the device icon on the map and go to Tools, Ping, the From field defaults to Server. If I change it to Local then the Ping starts working.

Is there a way to change the default from Server to Local on all devices globally? And is this a Feature or a Bug?

I am having the same problem -- randomly stops pinging and dns randomly stops I dont monitor much more.
Any Ideas? I have to restart the dude service and then it works again.
I have been upgrading dude since the early 2.x versions
I exported my map and imported it and I still have the problem.
Can I send my export to any one to have them weed out the problem.
I would be happy to pay since this is a cool free program.
