New to The Dude, would just like some help getting started

Sun Aug 07, 2011 4:51 am

Hi there,
I'm looking at software which can monitor my network of hotspots and then I saw the Dude is just what I'm looking for. But I'm having trouble finding guides on how to setup the networks within it.

This is what I'd like to monitor:
1x Radius Server (DMA Softlabs)
3x hotspot networks (all running RB450G's)

Within the hotspot I'd like to monitor the following:
Access points (Engenius EAP-3660, M36)
Switches Cisco and 3com.

Could someone point me in the right direction to get these setup correctly.

Thank you.

Start with this: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/The_Dude

When you have learned to use Auto Discovery, and how the Dude interface works, let us know if you have some more specific questions.
