CPU overload running DUDE server

Thu Dec 22, 2005 5:04 pm

Hi,

Are there someone experiencing high CPU load running DUDE?

When I start DUDE on a Windows 2003 Server Std Edition the CPU goes to 95% to 99% load in process DUDES.EXE.

If somebody knows about it, please help me.

Thanks,

Pedro

What is your configuration of The Dude? How many services are you monitoring?
How many SNMP managed links do you have? When did this problem begin?

It would be very helpful if you could send us your Dude export file to
support@mikrotik.com

Hi

I've get the same - Win2000 , dudes goes to 99% CPU utilization after few minutes. After this Dude do not work anymore. Beta17 , about 20 links, only 2 with SNMP. If I turn off SNMP it isnt help. Beta16 same as 17.

Hi uldis,

I sent the export file to Mikrotik´s Support.

Thanks,
there are some problems with your configuration, but its hard to tell how you got this. Maybe you upgraded without resetting configuration from some very old version of Dude?
You should try and see if importing back this export file into Dude helps you, otherwise it would help to resolve this problem if you could send us zipped Dudes data folder (C:\Program Files\Dude\data). Preferably BEFORE AND AFTER import.
