Webaccess on ROS
Clarify?

Like I said in another topic, we are preparing some new exciting stuff for a Dude release in autumn. We will also try to fix some of the most annoying issues in that release.

Normis,

I am refering to being able to login into Dude via http - when it is installed as a package on routerboard. It doesn't work and after reading several posts on the forum I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a solution to this. So, apologies if my previous post was not precise.

As far as your announcement is concerned, I think it's good that MT hasn't lost focus on the Dude. I wish you could add the above request to your list of new features or issues to be fixed - unless there is already a manual in place that shows how to get the Dude webservice up and running successfully. If you need additional information please let me know.

Dude already has webserver, and it's working in regular installations in Windows. If Dude is installed as a RouterOS package, it doesn't work because of a known bug. This will also be fixed.

That is great news, as there are many advantages of installing Dude on the core gateway router and web access is a key factor. The windows webserver works like a charm.

Normis, any chance to see improvements into the export/backup file format ? or change from sqlite to mysql or something ?

It's always good to see news about the dude

Over the years I have come to depend on the DUDE. Its the only monitoring tool we use now. IMHO beats CACTI hands down for pure simplicity and ease of use. looking forward to the new release
