IPSec Tunnel + The Dude

Thu Sep 05, 2013 4:06 am

I just added a site to site IPSec tunnel to my network from a mikrotik router to a TP-Link router with SNMP. I want to be able to add a link to my existing network map showing me how much data is going through that tunnel.

However when I select Mastering Type -> Router OS, there doesn't appear to be an interface that relates to that IPSec Tunnel. Similarly on the TP-Link router I can't see anything via SNMP.

Is there a trick to getting the stats for an IPSec tunnel out of a RouterOS router?

Hi, I have the same question. Did you configure the IPSEC tunnel in The Dude?
Thanks

I think you can only see the tunnel as an interface if the device considers the tunnel as an interface

No, never got it working. The TP-Link router was overheating, so the remote site dumped it for an edgeOS device. I'm now working on getting a mikrotik<->edgeOS IPsec tunnel running.
