Firewall Mark based on Load

Sun Jun 17, 2007 10:00 am

Hello

If my link is at 90% I'd like to turn on a rule that opens another link.

any idea's how to monitor this and enable the rule?

Perhaps setup a rule and count the trafic over a 5 min period and if its over X amount open the link, if its less close the link?

Thanks :-)

Easier ;)
Look at the "/tool traffic-monitor" feature - it's built exactly for that: To run a script when bandwidth on a link goes above/below a certain bandwidth.

Does that help?

Sorry, don't know that...
Also, in the manual it has an example that says 15kbps but the example says 15000, is thata typo?
I'd say that's the usual "easy-to-interpret" way many people use, although 15 kbps actually would be 15360, not 15000.
