netwatch pro question

Sat Jun 30, 2007 12:42 pm

Hi all,

I use netwatch to monitor my basestation, and send email -> sms to my mobile. If a ping is not responding, the system send me 2 (down + up) sms. The problem is the following: it doesnt mean that the basestation is down, it's a simple packet loss. Its about 10-20 sms/day, what I dont need. I try to increase the time out limit, but it wasnt better. Can anybody has better idea, (instead of netwatch)? A unique script, or other? (I use up to date mt versions...)

Thanks,

Hi Equis

Yes , that would be a good solution if his problem, and mine, was only to monitor a link or service. The problem goes wider than that, for example if you execute scripts on the local MT doing the netwatch. One don't want the MT to execute commands everytime a ping times out. It would be great if the netwatch could be configured the same as the dude to monitor a failed service.
