Something will makes me crazy with tool/netwatch

Sun Feb 21, 2021 11:43 am

Hi guys.
how is it going?
I just want my routerboard makes reboot for itself when it looses connection with any host IP .I did the the settings of the tool/netwatch to perform the command /system reboot when the device looses the connection with the specified host ip .The device rebooted in time ...till now everything is ok .....

The disaster is / the device rebooted itself again and again and again ( endlessly) just after it rebooted itself and even it conneted normally with the host IP..I hope you understand me ..the device makes to itself rebooting FOREVER!!!!!!!!.Even when it cennected normally with the host IP( AFTER REBOOTING) !!!!! .

Use watchdog timer with watch address instead of netwatch.

https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:System/Watchdog

watch-address (IP; Default: none)
The system will reboot, in case 6 sequential pings to the given IP address will fail. If set to none this feature is disabled. By default router will reboot every 6 minutes if watch-address is set and not reachable.

You should try to fix the problem with device disconnect (if possible) instead of rebooting the router.
