Billing interface for hotel (Opera PMS)

Thu Oct 02, 2008 2:20 pm

Does anyone use Micros-Fidelio's Opera PMS? I work at a hotel and we really want the ability for users to just enter his/her room number. I found a reference to such a system in:
http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... 08#p129708

Money IS available for this project :)

I agree with tgatewood. A development of an API between routerOS and Fidelio as descibed above would be nice.

And money is available for this project too.

Hi, my company developed a the interfaces based on the Micros Opera protocol fiat, this interface is 2-way. With just enter the number of passenger room and last name of what validates the pms and leave it out to navigate automatically.

I got it working in hotels such as Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, Fiesta Americana, Fiesta Inn and other hotels.

Hi nfillion

This is exactly what we are looking for. A 2 way communication between the opera PMS and Mikrotik. Where the guest get verified by the PMS.

I hope we can find a solution where we can use what you already have developed. Maybe we can hire you as our consultant to get working on our system.

You can contact me on kk (at) uni-it-pc.dk

Thanks in advance
Kenneth

We can do a conference and talk about my system, and see what possibilities we have to work together.

I got MikroTik hotspot working with Micros Fidelio/Opera PMS using RADIATOR (www.open.com.au).

If I recall correctly, it uses room number + reservation code for login, which is more reliable than using surnames (different cultures have different definitions of which part of the full name is the 'surname'.)

For those who got it working with radiator:

-Which version of PMS were you running?
-Did you have to create your own IFC, which version did you use 7 or 8?
-Would you mind posting a screenshot of the Opera setup :)

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Hi,

is there some one who could remotly integrate Micros-Fidelia and the Mikrotik HotSpot system. If yes, what is the
price of the integration.

What we need:

--when a guest checks in he (or she) should automaticly recive a username and password for the internet
--the internet usage for the hotel guests should be for free but autenticated on the HotSpot system
--it should be posible to see the usage statistics and the login logout times of the guest

Hi andreacoppini,

I need your experience interfacing MT with micros PMS. The hotel requires a captive portal whereby the in room guest connect via the room LAN point, the guest chooses the time package and click continue without any info key in, PMS recognise the info using VLAN, and bill the room guest into the PMS, the guest screen will then pop out another wireless password for him to use if he chooses to connect to wifi.

Would you be able to assist, we can discuss your cost as well.

Thanks

We have been looking for mikrotik & opera interface froma long time too, we are currently using nomadix for our hotspot gateway.

If you guys can suggest us a way to do this with mikrotik we would greatly appreciate your efforts. We are ready to hire you as a consultant if you can help us setting up our Dude, user manager and reporting tools for our clients on Mikrotik routers.

Thanks
