how can i design an OS for MK ?!
i need MK RB as a computer for connecting some RS232 device to it and use it in my own way

is it possible or i have to buy x86 board ?

What type of OS you want to write?

there are OSes, that are ported for specific type of RouterBOARD.

i need a single board to which read specific data from COM port (RFID Device) then process data and save it to HDD , i did it in x86 board with Windows XP running , but i wanna do it with MK RB , because it's small and low power

But you have a other board low cost like alix or any other thin client like neoware.

if you have RouterBOARD handy - create metarouter, with openWRT running there, set up serial port transfer through TCP and you have what you want.

On the other hand you can buy raspberry pi or hp thinclient (cheap, about 12w power).
