Diagnosing LTE internet issues

Wed May 17, 2023 10:27 am

Hi

I have a Chateau LTE12 router and since a few weeks I am experiencing weird, random and frequent issues with my internet connection like frequent packet loss, despite good signal strength and quality. My cellular provider told me that there are absolutely no issues in their network and I also do not live in a crowded area so there aren't many cellular users here.
Since I'm kind of a power user though, I was asking myself whether my amount of connections and sessions could possibly be overloading the LTE modem in the Chateau or something like that.

Therefore my questions:
- are there any known connection/session (rate) limits for the Chateau or the Quectel modem respectively?
- is there a way to monitor/read them or the load?
- is there a different way other than to ping various targets to determine 100% whether it is my provider causing issues or my modem?

side note: I'm running the Chateau in bridge mode.

Thanks!
