Caps manager

Tue May 16, 2023 2:47 pm

Hello I have working Caps manager and managing three Cap clients. Recently I was bought "MikroTik cAP ax" and I want to add it as fourth Cap client. I was mention under Wireless>WiFi Wave2>CAP is different configuration as other devices. I running "Caps manager" on "RB952Ui-5ac2nD" Caps manager not see new radio. Can I ask how can I add this new device to current Caps manager ?
I have on all devices installed latest "RouterOS 7.9".
Thank you for any advice.

Legacy capsman (controlling non-wifiwave2 radios) and Wifiwave2-Capsman (AX radios or any other device running wifi via Wave2) can not be mixed.
You will need two controllers.

With latest RouterOS versions (7.13 and later) is it possible to have on the same router both a legacy-capsman and a wifi-capsman?

Yes it is.
I am running it on hex at home for testing.

You may have to delete all certificates and recreate them.
I think I saw something mentioned about that by MT staff.

My setup was new on that device starting with 7.13 so there were no previous certificates lingering around.

Thanks, regenerating the certificates did the trick.
