chateau 5g no lte1 interface

Wed Apr 05, 2023 11:18 pm

hey,
i'm lost. my chateau 5g does not bring up its lte1 interface.

the device runs routerOS 7.8.

whatever i do, quick set reports "Couldn't change LTE AP - LTE Interface is not ready! (6)"
this is what cli gives me:

[admin@MikroTik] > /interface lte set lte1 apn-profiles=internet.v6
no such item

if i try printing the interfaces i receive nothing but an empty line:

[admin@MikroTik] /interface/lte> print

[admin@MikroTik] /interface/lte>

apparently it's not a hardware thing. lte1 is reporting on boot (log added below).

any input welcome.

thx,
/markus

The "apn-profile" is a link to profile in /interface/lte/apn, not the actual APN. You need to set the APN in the "APN Profile", assuming defaults, it's
/interface/lte/apn/set apn=internet.v6 [find default]

Your APN mentions IPv6, so assuming you want IPv6 prefix go someplace....you'll need to specify the interface IPv6 is bridged to, assuming it the defaults and you want IPv6 on the bridge itself, the command is:
/interface/lte/apn/set ipv6-interface=[/interface/bridge/find] [find default]

hi Amm0,

thanx for replying to my problem report. unfortunately i'm still fighting that problem. took a break in between though :-)

this are my configured apns:

[markus@MikroTik] /interface/lte> apn/ print
Flags: * - DEFAULT
Columns: NAME, APN, ADD-DEFAULT-ROUTE, DEFAULT-ROUTE-DISTANCE
# NAME APN ADD-DEFAULT-ROUTE DEFAULT-ROUTE-DISTANCE
0 * default internet.telekom yes 2
1 t-d1.telekom internet.t-d1.de yes 2
2 telekom internet.v6.telekom yes 2

whichever profile i try, i never end up with an interface in whatsoever state:
[markus@MikroTik] /interface/lte> set lte1 apn-profiles=telekom
no such item
[markus@MikroTik] /interface/lte> set [find] apn-profiles=telekom
[markus@MikroTik] /interface/lte> print

[markus@MikroTik] /interface/lte>

still, logs pretend there is something existing that is labeled "lte1" it appears to be some kind of ghost interface as i don't manage to access it in any way:

May 25 13:29:48 10.11.10.3 lte,debug lte1 mbim: <<< open
May 25 13:29:48 10.11.10.3 lte,packet,raw lte1 mbim: wdm <<< send #11
May 25 13:29:48 10.11.10.3 lte,packet,raw lte1 mbim: 01000000 10000000 0b000000 00100000

any help very much appreciated.

thanx!

/markus
